Corporate Governance Overview
Nordstrom is committed to the highest standards of ethics and business conduct. Those principles apply to our relationships with our fellow employees, our customers, our suppliers, our shareholders, our competitors, and the communities in which we operate. Business Conduct and Ethics Reporting
At Nordstrom, we recognize that our success is based on the quality of our relationships with customers, employees, agents, vendors and communities. To maintain the high caliber of these relationships and to achieve our goal of always providing the best-value product in the most equitable manner, we have established standards for our employees and business vendors.
Open, honest and respectful communication is one of the highest values at Nordstrom, and we believe that direct communication is the best way to quickly resolve any concerns. As a first step, when you have questions or concerns, Nordstrom encourages you to talk directly with the persons most involved. If this is uncomfortable for you, or if you don’t feel your concern has been adequately addressed, you may choose to talk at any time to anyone in the company who you feel can assist you with your concerns, including Department, Store, or Regional Managers; Human Resources; or Asset Protection. In the event you observe illegal or unethical behavior, you have a responsibility to report it.
If you feel more comfortable communicating anonymously, you may contact EthicsPoint. EthicsPoint is an independent third-party company that provides a confidential reporting channel. You may submit a concern via nordstrom.ethicspoint.com or by calling a toll-free number. Employees may report concerns by calling 888.832.8358. Nordstrom vendors may report concerns by calling 844.852.4175.
Our standards for our employees and directors are described in detail in their respective Codes of Business Conduct and Ethics, which can be found on this page of this website, on Nordnet and on Nordstrom.com. Our expectation is that all employees, officers and directors of Nordstrom comply with our Codes of Conduct, and all vendors comply with our Partnership Guidelines, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
